Waitress / Server
Prairie House Food & Spirits is looking for friendly, dependable, and hardworking servers to join our team!
Position Summary
As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking accurate food and drink orders, serving guests, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and creating a welcoming experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Enter orders into the POS system correctly
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Check on guests throughout their meal and respond to their needs
- Answer questions about menu items, specials, and beverages
- Maintain clean and organized tables and dining areas
- Clear and reset tables as needed
- Process payments accurately and handle cash responsibly
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures
- Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming restaurant environment
- Work as a team and assist coworkers when needed
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
