Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to join our team and drive the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the Construction Manager, Lead Coordinators, subcontractors, volunteers, vendors, donors, and homeowners, ensuring seamless communication, efficient scheduling, and precise cost management. Your expertise in construction project coordination and scheduling tools will help keep projects on track, within budget, and aligned with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning, Scheduling & Operational Readiness (30%)
- Budget Tracking, Reporting, Warranty & Administrative Coordination (10%)
- Contractor, Homeowner & Workflow Coordination (20%)
- System Ownership & Documentation Discipline (25%)
- Purchasing, Materials & Resource Coordination (15%)
- Establish project budgets/schedules for new houses and rehab projects 6 months in advance of project commencement
- Responsible for project budget tracking, cost visibility, and variance reporting
- Support invoice coding, purchasing documentation, and project cost tracking.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local contractors and material suppliers resulting in reliable delivery of services, and gifts of labor and materials.
- Coordinate project budgets and schedules of new house and rehab construction
- Maintain visibility and reporting related to open warranty items and resolution timelines
- Develop and adhere to build schedule, communicating with all members of team, to ensure the maintaining of construction schedules, sequencing, milestones, and workflow coordination.
- Track project milestones to identify schedule risks before deadlines are impacted, and proactively communicate delays, material shortages, subcontractor concerns, or compliance issues immediately upon identification.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under our auto policy.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in Project coordination, or operational support experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in construction scheduling, project planning, cost management, and analysis skills for effective project coordination.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with Habitat team, community, volunteers, homeowners and people served.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel and ability to learn our systems and processes.
Preferred
- Experience working with volunteers, nonprofit organizations, or community-based construction programs.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule including working occasional evenings and early mornings during build events.
- Knowledge and experience with ADA Building Requirements and Codes preferred.
- Knowledge of residential construction processes, permitting, codes, and scheduling practices.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
