Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on industrial electrician ready to transition into a field leadership role. This position focuses on overseeing and executing electrical installations in the field, ensuring projects are installed correctly, safely, and in alignment with design intent.
The ideal candidate will bring strong electrical installation experience and be capable of leading contractors and installation teams while coordinating closely with engineering and project management.
Responsibilities:
Perform material takeoffs from Bid Documents.
- Determining the amount, type, and cost of materials needed for each electrical project.
- Create electrical hardware bills of Material for installation projects. i.e., cable tray, conduit, wire, fittings.
- Determining the amount of labor required to complete each project.
- Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
- Coordinate project installation and execution with design team, vendors, and customers
- Supervise electrical installation contractors at customer facilities
- Ensure that vendors are respecting all safety requirements
- Identify electrical design and installation issues on site and communicate with design team.
- Monitor projects through the installation and commissioning phase to ensure that contractual requirements are fulfilled
- Prepare and complete installation QA checklists
- Facilitate customer final acceptance and sign-off of installations
- Develop and maintain detailed project installation schedules
- Prepare and communicate change order documentation
- Participate in procurement process by generating RFQs and interfacing with vendors onsite to acquire quotations
- Coordinate employees and vendors for successful project implementation
- Communicate with project management team and contractors to ensure that resources are properly allocated to ensure on-time completion of project tasks
- Ensure that materials and equipment deliveries are on time and received
- Assist commissioning team following power-up of equipment.
- Travel to customer sites throughout the continental US
Required Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the electrical or automation field.
- Practical site installation and or supervision experience of industrial electrical hardware.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of NFPA79, NEC, CEC.
- Working knowledge of PLC hardware.
- Experience with motor controls, photo eyes, proximity sensors, control reliable safety circuits, etc.
- Adept with Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse workload and meet tight deadlines under changing conditions.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience with industrial automated machinery, and material handling systems an asset.
- Electrician Masters or Journeyman’s license, or a relevant degree.
- Job requires travel of 30-40% to site

Pay: $48.00 - $60.00 per hour
