We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our field installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and learning a skilled construction trade.
Previous experience in this field is not required. We will train the right candidate in underground tank and piping installation, job-site procedures, and the operation of equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and other construction machinery. We pay $20.00-$25.00 an hour for dependable construction labor. Anyone with experience installing gas pumps/fuel-system, underground piping, or sold field technician background pay $27.00-$35.00 an hour.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced crew members with the installation of underground tanks, piping systems, and fuel dispensers
- Perform excavation work by hand using shovels and other tools
- Help backfill trenches, spread materials, compact soil, and prepare finished grades
- Learn to safely operate heavy equipment under the direction of experienced employees
- Load, unload, organize, and transport materials, tools, and job-site equipment
- Mechanical assemble the pumps able to read blue prints and direction
- Follow company procedures, project requirements, and all safety regulations
- Travel with the crew to project locations throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a crew
- Interested in learning construction skills and heavy equipment operation
- Learn all assembly and installation for fuel pumps
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Able to follow instructions and work safely around equipment
- Willing and able to travel to different job sites
- Construction, excavation, underground utility, landscaping, concrete, plumbing, or general labor experience is helpful but not required
