Position Summary
The Project Controls & Financial Analyst provides financial oversight and project controls for the Project Management Office (PMO). This position is responsible for project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and project analytics to ensure leadership has accurate and timely information for decision-making.
This role does not perform accounting, accounts payable, or revenue management functions. Instead, it serves as the primary liaison between the PMO and the Finance/Accounting Department to reconcile project costs, invoices, budgets, and payment status.
Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain project budgets and cost forecasts.
· Track project expenditures, commitments, and budget variances.
· Maintain the PMO project cost tracker, invoice log, and change order register.
· Coordinate with Project Managers to validate project costs and supporting documentation.
· Serve as the liaison between the PMO and Finance to reconcile project costs, invoices, and payment schedules.
· Develop executive dashboards, KPI reports, and project financial summaries.
· Monitor project financial performance and identify cost or schedule risks.
· Standardize PMO reporting, budgeting, and project control processes.
· Support automation and continuous improvement of project reporting and analytics.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in project controls, financial analysis, budgeting, or project cost management.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred
· Experience supporting construction, facilities, manufacturing, healthcare, or capital projects.
· Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or ERP systems.
· PMP, CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
