I'm a recently retired army combat veteran and i'm needing to hire a IHSS (In-Home Supportive Services) Caregiver Position asap...30+ hours weekly...weekends off... very flexible hours... service dog in home...vehicle a +... very respectful home... needing someone responsible respectful trustworthy caring... located in Santa Maria CA...live in Caregiver Position an option...where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to client with needs. This rewarding position involves assisting client with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within their homes and community settings. Responsibilities
- Assist client with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individuals diet
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to promote health and comfort
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid/CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with client
