Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of cranes, including overhead cranes, boom trucks, and hydraulic lifting equipment, to facilitate efficient load handling and material movement on construction sites and warehouse environments. Your expertise in crane operation, rigging, and safety procedures will ensure smooth project execution while maintaining strict adherence to construction workplace safety regulations. Duties
- Operate overhead cranes, boom trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other heavy lifting equipment with skill and precision
- Follow load handling procedures in crane operations to ensure safe lifting, moving, and placement of materials
- Implement load securing rigging methods to stabilize loads during lifting operations
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and lifting equipment to identify potential issues and ensure safety compliance
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and construction site safety regulations during all operations
- Coordinate with team members to plan lift sequences and execute tasks efficiently on busy construction sites or warehouses
- Maintain detailed logs of crane usage, inspections, and load movements for accountability and safety audits
Experience
- Proven experience operating various cranes such as overhead cranes, boom trucks, or hydraulic lifts in construction or warehouse settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, load handling procedures, and materials handling equipment operation
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, load securing methods, and safety equipment usage in heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards and safety protocol adherence
- Experience working with construction site teams or in environments requiring precise materials handling and heavy equipment operation
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred
