Overview:
Arroyo Environmental Consultants (Arroyo) is a highly specialized biological and environmental consulting firm providing unmatched consulting services to both public and private clients. The Arroyo team is a diverse group of biological and ecological scientists specializing in freshwater and coastal environments as well as environmental permitting.
The appropriately qualified applicant will need to demonstrate a willingness to join an established team of professionals and contribute to the success of that team.
The successfull candidate will work with or under the guidance of Arroyo Staff. Assist with collecting samples and performing field tests as necessary. Assist with the organization of equipment, supplies, biological specimens, and annual specimens reporting. Must have a valid driver's license.
Primary responsibilities:
- Performs project level tasks under direct supervision of senior staff
- Assist senior staff in the collection of data at field sites
- Clean, maintain, set up, and break down of all equipment
- Perform data entry as needed
- Assist senior staff using complex instrumentation and advanced monitoring and testing equipment
- Able to work in harsh environments during adverse conditions
- Able to carry more than 50 lbs over extreme uneven terrain
- Ablet to travel up to 50% of the time
- Work to expand breadth of technical knowledge
Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- GIS: 1 year (Preferred)
- Microsoft Excel/Word: 1 year (Preferred)
- Field: 1 year (Preferred)
