Brothers Pizza & Pasta at 253 Benner Pike, State College is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Servers to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and effectively managing their needs.
We are currently looking for daytime shifts, and weekend availability
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the dining experience.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards during food preparation and service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, maintaining a focus on guest relations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Server in fine dining or high-volume restaurants is preferred but not necessary.
- Familiarity with Micros POS systems is a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
