Position Summary
The Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports products, systems, and processes. This role works closely with subject matter experts, engineers, developers, and project teams to translate complex technical information into understandable content for internal and external audiences. The Technical Writer ensures consistency, quality, and compliance across all documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, write, and edit technical documentation, including user guides, manuals, SOPs, release notes, FAQs, and training materials.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical concepts.

Translate complex information into clear, concise, and accessible content for various audiences.

Maintain documentation libraries, version control, and content management systems.

Create diagrams, flowcharts, and visual aids to support written content.

Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.

Review and revise existing documentation to improve clarity, usability, and structure.

Participate in product testing or demonstrations to better understand features and workflows.

Edit and proofread materials for grammar, formatting, and technical accuracy.

Support cross functional teams with documentation needs during product development and updates.
Work Environment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

2 to 5+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation development.

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.

Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.

Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Office, Markdown).

Experience with diagramming tools (Visio, Lucid chart, Draw.io).

Familiarity with software development, engineering, or technical environments.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Knowledge of content management systems and version control (Git) is a plus.
