American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring active Washington state RRT license in hand and 2+ years of experience

Short term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and teaching hospital setting
-
Respiratory Therapy department covering floor care, ER, code response, and rapid response
-
Patient ratios vary depending on acuity
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
-
Block scheduling required
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating between units required
-
On-call not required
-
Uses Epic for charting
-
13-week assignment
-
Active Washington RRT license required in hand at time of submission

License required if applicable
-
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
-
BLS certification required
-
ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Trauma Level I experience preferred
-
Experience with medication delivery systems including aerosol setups, MDI, and nebulizers
-
Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
-
Skilled in airway management including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
-
Proficient in interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
-
Experience in Emergency Department and Pediatric settings preferred
-
Experience with trauma and rapid response situations preferred
-
Provide respiratory care across multiple units including floor care, Emergency Department, and rapid response/code teams
-
May be required to float between sister facilities within the region
-
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated

Any scrub color is acceptable for this position
