Responsibilities
- Engage with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges through active listening, mentoring, and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support to help de-escalate situations and ensure safety for clients and staff.
- Assist clients in navigating behavioral health services, including addiction counseling and mental health resources, fostering their connection to ongoing care.
- Document interactions and progress using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately and confidentially.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to develop client-centered recovery plans that incorporate peer support strategies.
- Offer guidance on coping skills, relapse prevention, and community resource utilization to promote sustained recovery.
- Maintain a positive, supportive environment that encourages hope, empowerment, and personal growth for all clients.
- Must be able to pass a background check
Skills
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
- Experience or training in behavioral health, mental health counseling, or addiction counseling.
- Proven mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others on their recovery journey.
- Familiarity with social work principles and practices related to behavioral health support.
- Skilled in motivational interviewing to facilitate client engagement and behavior change.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations. Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
