FavTrip runs two convenience stores and gas stations in the Kansas City metro, with a 24/7 drive-thru and a simple promise: come happy, leave happy. We are growing, and we want the operator who will run both stores and help us build what comes next.
The Role
You run both gas station / convenience locations end to end and own the result. This is a lead-from-the-floor job, not a desk job. You are in the stores with the crew: you hold the store managers accountable, keep the shelves and coolers stocked, keep the stores clean and fast, build the team, and protect fuel and in-store sales. As you prove the operation, you become a thinking partner to the owner, bringing ideas and finding the edge that sets us apart.
What You'll Own (your weekly scorecard)
This role is measured by numbers, not hours. Each week you report:
Overnight standards: stores fully stocked and prepped every night, both locations.
Staffing reliability: schedules hold, last-minute call-ins trend to zero.
Team retention: the people you hire stay and stay dependable.
In-stock on top sellers: the items that move money are never empty.
Cash accuracy: clean drawers, no unexplained shortages.
Customer rating: our Google and in-store experience holds and climbs.
Sales and gross margin: you protect both and grow them over time.
Who We're Looking For
You don't need to have run two stores before. If you've run one busy convenience store or gas station extremely well and you're ready to step up, we want to talk.
3+ years in convenience, fuel, grocery, or fast food, with real responsibility for a store or a shift.
People leadership: you have built schedules, managed staff, and hired and let people go yourself.
A finisher: you close what you start without being chased, and you bring problems with a solution already attached.
Numbers-minded: you can point to results you drove, sales up, shrink down, turnover reduced.
A thinker: you notice opportunities others miss and you speak up with ideas.
Hands-on and present, especially at open, close, and overnight.

Also Part of the Job
Own and keep up the store systems: the checklists, SOPs, and training that keep both stores running the same way every shift. When something isn't documented and it causes a miss, you fix it.
Run a weekly numbers meeting with the owner: report the scorecard, flag what's off, bring your fix.
