Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure they are clean and presentable.
- Conduct thorough janitorial services in both commercial and residential settings as needed.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Carry out facilities maintenance duties such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned according to established protocols.
Requirements
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Experience in commercial cleaning environments is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and respond to facility needs effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work standards.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
