At PrimePave Asphalt, we build the foundations that keep our community moving. From massive commercial parking lots to residential driveways, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier asphalt paving, sealcoating, and maintenance services. We’re growing fast, and we need a gritty, high-energy Sales Development Specialist to help us pave the way to new business opportunities.
If you love the thrill of the hunt, enjoy building relationships, and want to work with a team that values hard work and rewards success, you’ll fit right in.
Position Summary
As a Sales Development Specialist, you are the engine of our sales pipeline. Your primary mission is to identify, prospect, and qualify new business leads—focusing heavily on commercial property managers, HOAs, general contractors, and business owners. You won't just be making cold calls; you’ll be establishing genuine connections, uncovering property maintenance needs, and booking high-quality appointments for our Outside Sales and Estimating teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting: Actively hunt for new business through cold calling, email campaigns, local networking, and social selling (LinkedIn).
- Lead Qualification: Speak with property decision-makers to assess their paving, repair, or maintenance needs and determine if they are a good fit for our services.
- Appointment Setting: Strategically schedule consultations and site walkthroughs for our Project Estimators and Outside Sales Representatives.
- CRM Management: Maintain a meticulously clean database by tracking all interactions, leads, and pipeline stages in our CRM system.
- Market Research: Identify upcoming local commercial projects, property developments, and key industry players to target.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in sales development, inside sales, telemarketing, or customer-facing roles. (Experience in construction, roofing, landscaping, or waste management sales is a massive plus, but not required).
- Communication Skills: You have a professional, persuasive, and engaging phone presence. You know how to get past the gatekeeper and talk to the decision-maker.
- Resilience & Grit: You aren’t easily discouraged by a "no." You view objections as an opportunity to pivot and educate.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with CRM software, Google Workspace, and mapping tools to look up client properties.
- Self-Starter Attitude: You don’t wait to be told what to do. You’re driven by targets and motivated by an uncapped commission check.
