New York Community Care is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven Director of Operations to oversee the daily operations of our Article 31 Behavioral Health Clinic and Article 32 Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. This executive leadership position is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare operations leader with a strong understanding of New York State behavioral health regulations and a passion for improving access to quality mental health and substance use treatment services.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational leadership for both Article 31 and Article 32 outpatient clinics.
Ensure compliance with all applicable New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) regulations.
Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
Lead, mentor, and supervise department managers and multidisciplinary staff.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, workflow efficiency, and productivity.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), quality metrics, and financial performance.
Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and organizational growth.
Prepare for and manage regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation activities.
Ensure exceptional patient satisfaction and quality of care.
Partner with clinical leadership to optimize service delivery and patient outcomes.
Manage budgets, operational expenses, and resource allocation.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of healthcare operations leadership experience, preferably within behavioral health or substance use treatment.
Strong knowledge of Article 31, Article 32, OMH, and OASAS regulations.
Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Strong financial, organizational, and project management skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare compliance standards preferred.
