Traveling Superintendent – Industrial Construction
Travel Required – Projects Located Throughout the Southwest & Central United States

Compensation- $125,000 - $150,000 Base Salary + Housing + Vehicle Allowance + Per Diem + Bonus Opportunity
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee large-scale ground-up industrial construction projects throughout the Southwest and Central United States.
Projects include data centers, aviation facilities, operations & maintenance (O&M) buildings, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and other complex industrial developments.
This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities from project startup through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Superintendents are typically assigned to one project at a time before transitioning to the next project assignment.
ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Project Execution
- Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
- Drive project schedules and ensure milestone deadlines are achieved.
- Conduct daily site walks and proactively address field challenges.
- Maintain quality control and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and project standards.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, clients, and ownership representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project documentation, daily reports, and progress updates.
Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety culture on every project.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, site inspections, and audits.
- Ensure all site personnel comply with project safety requirements and standards.
Scheduling & Resource Management
- Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries.
- Monitor production and adjust resources to maintain project schedules.
- Identify and resolve potential delays before they impact project timelines.
- Assist in maintaining project budgets through effective field management and planning.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as the primary field contact for project stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Foster strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and project teams.
- Promote teamwork and accountability across all project personnel.
QualificationsRequired
- 5+ years of construction superintendent experience.
- Experience managing ground-up industrial, manufacturing, aviation, data center, distribution center, energy, or large-scale commercial construction projects.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
- Comfortable using construction technology, project management software, tablets, and digital reporting systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractors and field teams effectively.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in remote project locations.
Preferred
- Design-Build construction experience.
- Experience on projects valued at $10M+.
- Experience with industrial or mission-critical construction environments.
