Jin Jia is looking for an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
Jin Jia specializes in Korean-Chinese cuisine, combining traditional Chinese wok-cooking techniques with the bold flavors and dishes that have become a distinctive part of Korean food culture.
We are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen and has experience with wok cooking, Chinese cuisine, Korean-Chinese cuisine, or other Asian-style cooking.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous line cook or restaurant cooking experience
- Wok cooking experience strongly preferred
- Korean-Chinese, Chinese, Korean, or other Asian cuisine experience is a plus
- Comfortable working with high-heat wok stations
- Strong knife and food-preparation skills
- Able to follow recipes, portions, and presentation standards consistently
- Able to work quickly and stay organized during busy service
- Good understanding of food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Able to stand for extended periods and work in a high-temperature kitchen environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Jin Jia menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Work the wok station and/or assigned line station during service
- Complete station preparation before service
- Maintain consistent portioning, flavor, quality, and presentation
- Keep the station clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members during service
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and kitchen preparation as needed
Schedule
We are looking for candidates with flexible availability, especially for evenings and weekends.
Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available depending on experience and availability.
