Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen setting, contributing to menu creation and ensuring excellent food service for our guests. Prior experience in supper clubs, catering, or the food industry is highly valued, along with strong knife skills and culinary expertise.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and development to ensure variety and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food with proper techniques to ensure safety and hygiene
- Support food presentation and plating to meet aesthetic standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions
- Serve food efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Follow all safety procedures related to kitchen equipment and food handling
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is preferred
- Excellent knife skills and culinary techniques, especially in fine dining environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special requests when needed
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- ServSafe certification - can be completed after hire
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Must be 18+
