<Duties>
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, security alarms, fire alarms, sensors, access control, and telecommunication networks.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute system designs.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform cabling, conduit bending, termination, and equipment mounting.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues with existing systems and perform repairs or upgrades efficiently.
- Ensure all installations comply with NEC (National Electrical Code), local building codes, and industry standards such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems).
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to design system layouts tailored to specific security or automation needs.
- Utilize remote access software to monitor system performance remotely and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including system configurations and service reports.
- Support sales efforts by providing technical expertise during alarm system sales consultations.
<Requirements>
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in low voltage systems or related fields such as electrical or telecommunication installation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for effective installation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts essential for configuring networked security systems and remote access solutions.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals with precision.
- Hands-on experience working with CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, security systems, access control devices, and surveillance equipment.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools such as drills, wire strippers, conduit benders, etc.
- Knowledge of NEC standards governing low voltage wiring and electrical safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and explaining technical details to clients.
