What You'll Do
As part of our teaching team, you'll help create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment where children can thrive while building meaningful relationships with families and coworkers.
Responsibilities may include:
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom where every child feels valued and supported.
- Supervise children while ensuring a safe, healthy, and engaging environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and hands-on learning experiences.
- Encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play, STEM activities, outdoor exploration, and sensory learning.
- Foster positive relationships with children through encouragement, patience, and meaningful interactions.
- Support daily classroom routines including meals, naps, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play.
- Promote positive behavior using redirection, encouragement, and developmentally appropriate guidance techniques.
- Maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms.
- Communicate professionally with families regarding their child's day and developmental progress.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to provide exceptional care and education.
- Follow all Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Administer First Aid and complete incident documentation when necessary.

Qualifications
- Previous childcare, preschool, or early childhood education experience is preferred but not required.
- High school students are encouraged to apply for our High School Teacher's Aide positions.
- Experience working with children through babysitting, nannying, camps, coaching, church programs, or volunteer work is welcomed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to provide positive classroom guidance and behavior support.
- Must meet Minnesota childcare employment and background study requirements.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and move throughout the classroom.
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Sit on the floor while interacting with children.
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in all seasons.
- Actively engage with children throughout the day.
