Electra Security LLC is looking for a motivated Security Systems & Gate Automation Technician to join our growing team.

You do not need to know every system already. We are open to candidates with electrical, low-voltage, access control, construction, mechanical, or similar field experience who are dependable, willing to learn, and interested in developing specialized skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing and servicing automated gate operators
- Installing access control and low-voltage systems
- Installing and troubleshooting barrier arms, vehicle barriers, photoeyes, safety devices, and related equipment
- Pulling, terminating, and testing electrical, low-voltage, and control wiring
- Installing conduit, junction boxes, enclosures, and field devices
- Saw-cutting and installing vehicle detection loops
- Troubleshooting electrical and control-system problems
- Assisting with programming, startup, and commissioning
- Reading wiring diagrams, plans, and manufacturer documentation
- Performing preventative maintenance and service calls
- Traveling to project sites throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, and occasionally out of state

Experience with gate automation, access control, electrical work, low voltage, CCTV, fire alarm, traffic/ITS systems, vehicle detection loops, PLC/control wiring, or fiber/communications is preferred but not required.
Experience with manufacturers such as LiftMaster, HySecurity, Viking, Wallace, FAAC, DoorKing, or similar systems is a plus.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physical field work and work outdoors
- Ability to lift approximately 50–75 lbs.
- Willingness to travel when projects require it
- Ability to pass project-specific background checks when required
Compensation: $25.00–$35.00 per hour depending on experience and capabilities.
Higher compensation may be considered for experienced technicians capable of independently troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, or leading installations.

Electra Security LLC is a licensed, insured, and bonded Class A electrical and low-voltage contractor specializing in automated gates, perimeter security, vehicle barriers, access control, CCTV, electrical controls, low-voltage systems, troubleshooting, programming, and commissioning.
We work on commercial, government, infrastructure, mission-critical, and high-security projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and other regions.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
