Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse (RN), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional perioperative patient care. In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile field, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all sterile equipment, supplies, and instruments are ready for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by passing instruments, managing tissue, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition throughout the procedure, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Administer medications, including anesthesia and sedation, following strict protocols and documentation standards.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of procedures, patient assessments, and intraoperative activities in electronic health record systems.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent contamination and promote patient safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Two (2) years of OR circulating experience
- Current RN license and BLS certification
