What You’ll Do
-
Prepare, season, cook, and package deli food products according to recipes and quality standards
-
Operate kitchen and deli equipment including slicers, fryers, presses, and hot/cold service stations
-
Rotate stock using FIFO procedures and monitor product freshness and hold times
-
Decorate and display finished deli products
-
Maintain accurate records for inventory, production, and special orders
-
Provide excellent customer service and fulfill customer orders accurately
-
Support promotions, upselling, and limited-time offers to increase sales

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli, kitchen, coolers, and storage areas
-
Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash/card transactions accurately
-
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For

Previous deli, food service, restaurant, grocery, or retail experience preferred
-
Strong customer service and communication skills

Basic math and cash handling skills
-
Ability to follow recipes, food safety, and sanitation procedures
-
Willingness to learn deli equipment and kitchen operations
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-
Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

Ability to work at various store locations as needed

Fast-paced grocery store deli environment

Exposure to hot cooking equipment and cold storage/freezer areas

Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
