We are looking for an experienced and competent shift leader to join our growing team. The individual in this role would be responsible for overseeing our team members on the floor throughout shifts. This individual would be expected to develop and test new and efficient workflows, and ensure that all safety and employment laws are complied with. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, some leadership experience, preferably in a retail food setting.
Shift Leader Duties and Responsibilities:
· Distribute all necessary tasks and duties during each shift in a fair and effective manner
· Assess individual team member abilities and aptitudes, incorporate into shift duties to promote happy employees and effective workflows
· Oversee all team members and ensure all duties and tasks are being performed efficiently and effectively during each shift
· Facilitate unexpected no-show situations
· Communication with management in regards to disciplinary action when necessary (tardiness, etc.)
· Maintain a work environment that encourages compliance with safety laws and employment guidelines
· Set performance goals for individual team members, help create reward systems and/or contests as needed
· Ensure production goals are met
· Participate in weekly meetings to discuss goals, progress, and any issues in need of resolution
· Help develop the culture and vibe of the brand and convey this culture to the customer base
· Make it fun!
Shift Leader Requirements and Qualifications
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
· Strong leadership skills, extensive experience leading a team
· Creative problem-solving skills
· A drive to succeed, motivated
· Ability to meet deadlines and ensure financial goals are achieved
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
