Job Overview

Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on toddler care, literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support their child's developmental needs.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards to maintain a safe environment for all children.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
- Maintain detailed records of children's development, attendance, and assessments aligned with early intervention strategies.
Experience
- Proven classroom management experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored to toddler age groups, including literacy education, math, and physical activities.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, Montessori methods, or other educational philosophies such as preschool teaching or private school experience preferred.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures related to early childhood education and child development instruction.
- Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Prior experience in daycare or preschool environments that emphasizes child welfare, behavior management, and classroom experience is essential.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
