Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared. Knowledge of dental scanners, including capturing images and design vs old school dental impression materials.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols throughout all procedures.
- Take dental X-rays while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, utilizing software such as Dentrix for documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

Requirements
- Proven experience is a MUST , we do not have time for basic training.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations.
- Certification in dental assisting or completion of an accredited program is highly desirable.
- Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, particularly children in pediatric dentistry settings.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
