Mission:
The Project Engineer executes a variety of engineering tasks/components to assist senior team members with completing design projects. This position will be responsible for determining code requirements and design loads, as well as engineering discreet structural elements for structures. Success in this position is measured by incremental increase in knowledge and capacity demonstrated with a track record of accurate, well-documented work.
Duties:
1. Furnish code and design load requirement analysis.
2. Prepare gravity and lateral element engineering designs.
3. Design project specific framing and foundation details.
4. Create structural schedules for project specific design elements.
5. Back-check drafter mark-ups to ensure the plans were captured correctly
Additional Duties:
1. Attend project conference calls and coordination meetings in a job shadowing role.
2. Shadow field inspectors when they go offsite to gain knowledge on how to inspect project sites, monitor progress, and ensure conformance to design specifications.
3. Participate in professional development activities to enhance job knowledge and stay up to date on changing trends and industry best practices associated with assigned area of responsibility.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required; Structural specialty is preferred
Experience:
· No prior experience is necessary
· Basic technical knowledge of engineering principles
· General knowledge and/or experience performing computer tasks with AutoCAD or Revit software is a plus
· Ability to balance between quality and speed, and understand the importance of productivity on the job
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient in mathematics
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
