Connect Kids is a nurturing and engaging early childhood education center dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children to learn and grow. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, and maintain high standards of care and education.
Position Summary:
The Daycare Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of the center’s daily operations, including staff management, enrollment, compliance, financial oversight, and maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere for children, families, and staff. This position works closely with the Owner to ensure the center runs smoothly and in accordance with DSS, ABC, and CACFP regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enrollment & Family Relations:
- Manage enrollment and re-enrollment processes for all children.
- Maintain accurate attendance and child records.
- Communicate effectively with families to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise daycare staff.
- Schedule and oversee staff to ensure proper classroom coverage and compliance with ratios.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
- Compliance & Recordkeeping:
- Maintain compliance with DSS and ABC Quality standards.
- Complete and submit all required ABC paperwork and ensure timely updates.
- Manage CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) documentation, including menus and meal counts.
- Ensure all records, reports, and documentation are accurate and up to date monthly.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee collection and recording of tuition payments.
- Operations & Program Management:
- Develop and post weekly menus in accordance with CACFP guidelines.
- Manage inventory of food, supplies, and classroom materials.
- Support and assist the Owner with any daycare-related duties as needed.
- Ensure the center provides a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred).
- Experience in childcare management or administration.
- Strong understanding of DSS, ABC Quality, and CACFP requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in recordkeeping, reporting, and computer systems.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
