Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and powertrain components.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair or replace critical parts like shocks & struts, air brakes, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and auto body components to ensure safety standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical failures.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the service provided.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models, especially GM vehicles.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, diesel engine repair, auto estimating, and welding is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, wheel alignment, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and automotive electrical systems for repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing complex issues efficiently.
- Valid automotive technician certification or mechanic license preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
