Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items with precision and care.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Handle cash register operations including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with food handling regulations; assist with food preparation when needed.
- Manage retail sales transactions smoothly while upselling products to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
- Support food industry best practices by adhering to serving protocols, food safety procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality or safety.
Experience
- Previous barista experience in a café or coffee shop setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food service roles demonstrates strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding for sales upselling, and accurate transaction processing are required.
- Prior experience working in the food industry or café environment will help you excel in this energetic role.
