This career site is for external applicants only.</b></span><br /> </p>Employee Type: Regular<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>The desired candidate will perform safe and efficient construction equipment operation, and other duties as assigned by the construction manager and/or the site supervisor.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Description:</b><br /> </p><p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES: </b></p><ul><li>Operate various types of construction equipment to perform tasks such as leveling, shaping, and excavating surfaces</li><li>Perform all job duties per OSHA and MSHA laws and regulations, established company safety policies, and state and federal environmental regulations in a safe manner consistent with the Mitigation Resources of North America safety culture</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on the equipment to ensure proper functioning</li><li>Perform various physical duties as directed by the site supervisor, such as installation of structures, erosion matting, silt fencing, seeding, and fueling</li><li>Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively</li><li>Willing to be cross-trained and task trained on all construction and ancillary equipment</li><li>Move, secure, install, build, load, or unload materials</li><li>Moves items from place to place, according to the direction of the site supervisor</li><li>Extended periods of travel will be required</li></ul><p></p><p><b>OTHER DUTIES: </b></p><ul><li>Work with other ancillary equipment in a safe and organized manner</li><li>Assist in water management, reclamation, load/haul, and maintenance activities, as necessary</li><li>Miscellaneous work related to stream mitigation activities and operation of ancillary equipment. Some of these activities will occur outside the cab of the equipment</li><li>Assist with any maintenance needs for routine repairs</li><li>Keep the supervisor informed of any potential problems</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as graders, bulldozers, and loaders<ul><li>Familiarity with GPS equipment is a plus</li><li>Knowledge of proper equipment operation techniques and safety procedures</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li></ul></li><li>Must understand basic mechanical workings of construction equipment to operate properly, within tolerances, and perform preventative maintenance and servicing on occasion</li><li>Knowledge and ability to respond to emergencies and unpredictable situations</li><li>Ability to recognize unsafe and adverse conditions and the knowledge to correct them</li></ul><p></p><p><b>REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING:</b></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>Two years of experience operating off-road construction equipment</li></ul><p style="text-align:left"><br /><b>EEO Statement:</b></p><div></div><p style="text-align:left"><span><span><span><span class="WHY2">EEO/M/F/disability/veteran</span></span></span></span> You must meet at least the specific minimum requirements listed above to be considered a qualified applicant.</p>
