Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, flood, or storm damage restoration projects, ensuring quick and effective action.
- Perform cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and general debris removal to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.
- Operate company vehicles safely while transporting equipment and personnel to job sites.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to perform repairs, demolition, and restoration work efficiently.
- Implement safety protocols by correctly using personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, and adhering to all safety guidelines during every job.
- Conduct detailed assessments of damage using industry-standard estimating software such as Xactimate to document scope of work accurately.
- Assist with specialized restoration tasks such as fire restoration, water damage mitigation, flood recovery, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement under supervision.
- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the process to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning up debris and ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after each project.
- Be available for on-call coverage to respond to urgent situations outside regular working hours.
Skills
- Proven experience or familiarity with the restoration industry including water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, or flood recovery.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, and proper handling of hazardous materials like asbestos.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, construction equipment, and company vehicles safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients during stressful situations.
- Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software is highly desirable for accurate documentation.
- Construction experience or background enhances ability to perform repairs and demolition efficiently.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations with readiness for on-call coverage when needed.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning and general debris removal procedures.
