Responsibilities
- Safely operate a truck and trailer hotshot flatbed combination to ensure efficient delivery of freight.
- Navigate using GPS systems and plan optimal routes for timely deliveries across diverse locations.
- Load and unload cargo with precision, following proper manual handling techniques and safety protocols.
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), general goods handling standards.
- Manage the transportation of materials and dangerous goods in accordance with material regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure trucks are in top condition for safe operation.
- Load & unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety procedures; operate forklifts when necessary for cargo handling.
- Execute route driving with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries and excellent service.
Qualifications
- Proven 2 years plus experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or over-the-road (OTR) routes with a strong safety record.
- Mechanically inclined individuals are an added bonus.
- Valid driver’s license OR commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience flatbed, or other specialized loads preferred.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard communication standards, and logistics cargo handling procedures.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with manual handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery schedules.
- Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading processes including freight management and safety protocols.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight and handle heavy cargo safely; capable of working in various weather conditions.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.25 per hour
