Job Description
Education:
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Preferably 1+ years of experience in a high-volume bariatric practice or primary care practice.
DUTIES:
- Greet and assist patients and other guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
- Accurately and efficiently record and update patient information in an electronic medical record (EMR).
- Cleaning and staging of lobby throughout the day.
- Process cash and credit co-payments/deductibles payments.
- Scheduling and coordinating appointments.
- Complete appointment confirmations.
- Consolidate/Report all payments made to practice each day and submit to manager for review.
- Patient interaction via phone, email and face to face
- Coordinating with various staff to ensure patient requests are handled appropriately and timely.
- Maintain and track front end office supply inventory.
- Rooming patients and taking vital signs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft software products such as OneDrive, Word and Excel.
- Prior experience using EMR strongly preferred.
- Must have reliable, independent transportation in order to travel to various locations during any given shift.
- Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
- Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
- Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
- Must be well organized and detail oriented.
- Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations
- Sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
