Position Overview
As the Collections Manager, the employee in this role will take on the responsibilities of overseeing the production operations of the front-line employees, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance with industry regulations. You will be responsible for managing a team of collection specialists, calling specialists and processing specialists implementing strategies to optimize the collections process, managing the reporting systems and maintaining strong client relationships.
Principle Responsibilities for the Collections Manager:
- Direct/Oversee Operations Performed on Production Floor
o Provide guidance/training/support to employees to ensure high performance and achievement of targets
o Oversee the day-to-day operations of the commercial collection agency, including workflow management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring
o Collaborate with external vendors (as needed or directed to do so) to support the collection processes
o Analyze collection performance metrics, identify trends, and prepare reports for management
o Gather reports from Team Leaders
o Reconcile month-end reports

Close Account Reports
Direct Payment at Lender List
Monthly Commissions Report
- Manage Production Tracking System
o Daily, weekly, and monthly production tracking and reporting
Facilitate Data Process
o Receive sheets from underwriting, ensure completion of all data sheets within required timeframe, perform “post-data” on completed sheets, and upload all accounts to Salesforce
- Coordinate Disposal of Accounts
o Pre-Data: Kill accounts in underwriting
o Post-Data: Kill accounts that show no refunds after data is sent back
o Destroy documents and delete files from server after designated timeframe
- Month-End Commissions Process
o Track numbers daily/weekly/monthly
o Review/verify final numbers with Operations Manager
Principle Objectives and Expectations
- Oversee the production floor and ensure that the productions standards set by P40 are being upheld throughout all departments
- Foster a positive team-oriented culture that promotes teamwork and collaboration
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize collections and increase efficiency
- Track and report daily/monthly production numbers
- Facilitate multiple systems in the P40 environment to ensure operations go smoothly
- Successfully manage team by actively addressing low performers and promoting high performers
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in collections, preferably in a commercial collection agency
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams and achieving collection targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Proficiency in collection software and CRM systems
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex situations and conflicts
Education
- 4-year bachelor's degree in business administration or any related field is preferred
- Minimum Requirement: High School Diploma or GED
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
