As a Quantitative Fundamental Analyst, you will:
Collaborate with the investment team to enhance existing and create new quantitative strategies derived from company fundamentals.
Rigorously develop and improve fundamentally driven strategies in long/short equity portfolios.
Utilize a variety of NLP and LLM models to process company filings and financials for machine use.
Work collaboratively with portfolio managers, researchers, and developers to efficiently identify and formulate data-driven answers to high-impact research questions.
Actively explore topics in fundamental quantitative research through academic research, interaction with third-party providers, conference attendance, etc., ultimately converting these into additional firm revenue.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of company filings, financials, and a deep understanding of one or more industries.
Successful experience working with company fundamentals in a quantitative investing context.
Mental flexibility: you can easily learn and try new techniques, question assumptions (your own and those of others), and adjust your perspective when data suggest doing so.
Proficiency in Python and/or R.
Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong preference for a finance, accounting, or similar degree from a well-regarded program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quantitative fundamental analyst role is strongly preferred.
