Workers Compensation Field Medical Case Manager
An Ideal candidate will have:
- New York RN License
- Bilingual in Spanish (not required)
- CCM Certification preferred
- Workers Compensation Nurse Case Manager experience
- Local to the New York City area
Some responsibilities of the position:
- Assessing the injured workers medical issue and coordinating the treatment plan to gain a successful file closure.
- Deliver monthly progress reports on a timely basis for billing purposes.
- Work with employers on job duty modifications based on medical limitations and the employee’s functional assessment.
- Explaining physician’s and therapists’ instructions, and answers any other questions the claimant may have in an effort to facilitate his/her return to work
- Develop and maintain a list of exceptional providers in the trade area for recommendations.
- May provide testimony on litigated cases.Coordinating injured workers’ appointments and attends. Maintaining phone contact with all parties involved.
- Keeping accreditation current and in good standing.
- Capturing your time for case management duties.
- Serve as an intermediary to interpret and educate the individual on his/her disability, and the treatment plan established by the case manager, physicians, and therapists.
- Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of developments in the medical case management field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
