Driver Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area
2. Professionally transport 1 or more clients to appointments as necessary
3. Transport deliveries between sites
4. Complete daily maintenance checks on van and notify manager of any issues
5. Drive in inclement weather, such as light snow
6. Appropriately share personal experiences, wisdom, and knowledge under physical supervision of a LADC
7. Assist with various program duties, as appropriate
8. Complete all DHS and program required trainings
9. All other duties as assigned
Driver Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. A minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
3. No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
4. No more than 2 accidents in the past 12 months.
5. No DUI / DWI withing 5 years.
6. No Major violation within 3 years. (see attached for list of major violations)
7. Must complete DHS background check and be cleared to work in human service programs.
8. Acknowledge freedom from problematic substance abuse problems for 1 or more years.
Driver Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis and sometimes up to 100 lbs. Other physical requirements included, but not limited to sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, bending, and/or carrying items with great difficulty for extended periods of time, may be part of the weekly job duties.
