Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards.
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Operate CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across key areas and respond swiftly to any anomalies or incidents.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy.
- Perform background checks on prospective employees or visitors as part of security screening procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established protocols, including first aid administration, CPR, AED operation, or fire safety measures.
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques while maintaining professionalism and ensuring safety for all parties involved.
Skills
- Proven experience in physical security roles with knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and access control technologies.
- Background in military service or law enforcement with familiarity in incident report writing and emergency response procedures.
- Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use; able to perform manual handling and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Strong understanding of security regulations, compliance standards, and performing background checks effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict de-escalation abilities to handle diverse situations professionally.
- Ability to perform routine patrolling duties while maintaining high alertness levels during long shifts.
- Skilled in fire safety procedures, including fire extinguisher handling and emergency evacuation protocols.
