Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly, providing detailed estimates using automotive diagnostics tools and auto estimating software.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and collision repair as appropriate.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs.
- Maintain accurate service writing records, process cash handling transactions, and manage customer invoices efficiently.
- Conduct follow-up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Stay informed about the latest automotive repair techniques, dealership procedures, and industry standards to provide expert guidance.
Skills
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, computer-aided vehicle damage estimating, and auto estimating software.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling automotive services and automobile sales.
- Knowledge of dealership operations, collision repair processes, and automotive repair procedures including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, alignment, suspension work, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts replacement, air brake systems, and auto body repair.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience in driving various vehicle types is preferred.
