About the Role
The Key Holder plays a vital leadership role at Glitter & Glam, providing support in store operations while delivering magical glam experiences to our young guests. Acting as a shift leader when management is not present, the Key Holder ensures the store runs smoothly, staff are supported, and guests receive exceptional service. This position requires responsibility, confidence, sales awareness, and a passion for working with children in a fun, sparkly atmosphere.
Primary Responsibilities
Store Leadership & Operations
- Open and/or close the store, following all security and operational procedures.
- Lead and support Glam Associates during shifts, ensuring productivity, positivity, and teamwork.
- Handle cash transactions, drawer balancing, and end-of-day paperwork (where applicable).
- Ensure store presentation meets Glitter & Glam standards — clean, organized, and sparkly.
Guest Experience & Glam Services
- Provide glam services such as mini-manicures, mini-pedicures, glitter makeup, light hairstyling, and themed glam looks (training provided).
- Host and assist with birthday parties and group events, keeping energy high and guests engaged.
- Interact with parents and children in a warm, fun, and professional manner.
Sales & Retail
- Promote services, upgrades, party add-ons, and retail products to meet sales goals.
- Maintain knowledge of promotions, service offerings, and party packages.
- Perform inventory counts, restock shelves, and communicate supply needs to management.
Safety & Brand Standards
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Model company values, professionalism, and positivity for the team.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience required.
- Experience handling store keys, opening/closing responsibilities, or shift leadership preferred.
- Enjoys working with children and creating memorable experiences.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and confident personality.
- Reliable, timely, and professional — a leader who leads by example.
- Weekend & holiday availability required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
