Part-Time / Freelance Seamstress – Event Rental Business
Job Type: Part-Time / Freelance / Project-Based
Pay: $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience
We are looking for a skilled and reliable seamstress to join our event rental business on a part-time, project-based basis. We have a variety of sewing projects throughout the year, so this position is ideal for someone who enjoys working on different projects rather than doing the same thing every day.
What You’ll Do
- Sew and finish tablecloths, table runners, and other event linens
- Make and alter bar skirts and other fabric pieces
- Repair and modify existing rental inventory
- Take measurements and ensure accurate sizing
- Work with different fabrics and materials
- Complete projects with clean, professional-quality finishes
- Help with occasional custom or one-off sewing projects
What We’re Looking For
- Previous sewing/seamstress experience required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to measure, cut, and sew accurately
- Experience using a sewing machine and serger is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Reliable and organized
- Experience with event linens, upholstery, alterations, or commercial sewing is a plus
Schedule & Work Environment
This is a flexible, project-based position. The amount of work may vary depending on our upcoming events and inventory needs. We are open to discussing a schedule that works for the right candidate.
Local candidates preferred.
