Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations using advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP.
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and root cause analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize data mining, data analysis skills, and visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to generate insightful reports on inventory trends, demand planning, and supply chain analytics.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage vendor relationships for cost-effective purchasing.
- Support logistics operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and materials management to ensure timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by analyzing supply chain workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions for efficiency gains.
- Assist in production planning, demand forecasting, and inventory stocking strategies to meet retail management standards while minimizing excess stock.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, warehouse distribution processes, and inventory control techniques.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as AS400, SAP, or similar platforms; experience with SQL for data collection and analysis is highly desirable.
- Expertise in data visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen for reporting insights.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and financial modeling related to inventory costs and pricing strategies.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), materials handling equipment like forklifts (certification preferred), and shipping & receiving operations.
- Effective negotiation skills for procurement activities; familiarity with contracts, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
- Ability to perform detailed data analysis using Excel data analysis tools; strong technical proficiency in ERP systems such as MRPs (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Knowledge of logistics inventory management practices within e-commerce or retail environments; experience with 3PL providers is a plus.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting; physical capability for heavy lifting when needed.
