Our company is looking for an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This position requires someone who can multitask, work independently, and efficiently manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Candidates must have knowledge of QuickBooks, be willing to learn our PPRO software, and be able to prioritize administrative tasks while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's daily bookkeeping and accounting activities.
- Process and maintain accurate Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Prepare customer invoices and process vendor invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and Produce Pro (PPRO).
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and ensure proper documentation.
- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections when necessary.
- Reconcile inventory-related transactions and assist with inventory accounting as needed.
- Support budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Logistics, Sales, Warehouse, and Human Resources to resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Assist management with special projects and additional accounting or administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- 2–5 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience (Required).
Strong knowledge of:
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Bank Reconciliations
- General Ledger
- Journal Entries
- Payroll
- Financial Statements
- Month-End Close
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience using ERP or accounting software; Produce Pro (PPRO) experience is a plus.
- Experience working in wholesale distribution, produce, food distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or import/export industries is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost tracking is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of International Accounting Preparation and/or procedures
Salary: Compensation is proportional to experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM- 5:30 PM (in-person). WE DO NOT OFFER REMOTE
