About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Assistant to support our in-house private-label herbs and teas brand during the busy holiday retail season.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who is organized, able to work independently, and comfortable performing precise, repetitive tasks. You will work alongside our Herbs & Teas Production Specialist to package, label, and stock inventory for more than 200 loose herb and tea products sold in our retail store and through our online business.
Responsibilities
- Package loose herbs, teas, and other raw products into retail-ready packaging
- Accurately identify raw materials and match them with the correct packaging and labels
- Measure products carefully and consistently using a digital scale
- Operate a heat sealer accurately and safely
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the packaging process
- Recognize and communicate product, packaging, or quality-control concerns
- Handle herbs, teas, packaging materials, and finished products with care
- Assist with stocking and organizing packaged inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Follow established production, sanitation, and safety procedures
- As business needs require, support other departmental and warehouse functions, including pick, pack and ship operations, receiving, product transfers and inventory tracking, FBA product prep, KOBO manufacturing and assembly, general warehouse maintenance and housekeeping, and work across our Lincoln Square and Avondale locations.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- Comfortable standing, reaching, and performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks for the majority of a shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on production and inventory environment
- Previous packaging, production, food handling, warehouse, or retail stock experience is helpful but not required

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
