Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizza styles according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and dough rollers efficiently and safely
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitizing procedures, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza toppings or specialty creations to enhance customer offerings
- Monitor ingredient quality and freshness, ensuring all food handling practices meet health regulations
- Support food production during peak hours by managing high-volume pizza assembly and cooking processes
- Follow recipe adherence meticulously to ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion sizes
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially with pizza or similar cuisine preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Experience with dietary considerations or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaborative kitchen operations
