Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assists with the manufacturing of Prototype Assemblies of new products or new revision of existing products. The primary goals will be high quality/craftsmanship and keeping to the assigned schedule (OTD). Discusses product information, such as design, capacity and purpose, and types of material to be used to fabricate product, with engineer and other personnel. Assesses written specifications, drawings, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operations.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 5 years of relevant Mechanical Assembly experience
- Experience creating prototypes highly desirable
- Ability to understand mechanical systems and perform assembly tasks with Development Basis information provided. Need to understand the How & Why in order to makes sense of the What
- Ability to understand Engineering Drawings and design intent.
- Ability to train effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with production management and team
- Broad range of Production Tasks
o Mechanical Assembly – Use of tools (manual/powered)
o System Testing/Debug
o Packaging/Crating
- Proficiency with Office 365
- Ability to TIG weld, Metal Fabrication, and/or Machining preferred for as needed operations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, convey and understand instructions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but structured written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Eye protection and safety shoes are mandatory for this job.
