Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Flexo Folder Gluer Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corrugated packaging, excellent mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety. This is a full-time position and is a critical role that ensures the efficient operation of our Flexo Folder Gluer machines while meeting production goals and maintaining product standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Flexo Folder Gluer machines to produce corrugated products per job specifications
- Configure print plates, inks, cutting dies, folding guides, glue systems, and stackers
- Monitor production output to ensure boxes meet quality and company standards
- Conduct regular inspections and verify final product integrity
- Identify and correct defects in real time to minimize waste and downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues and collaborate with maintenance teams as needed
- Meet or exceed daily production targets
- Optimize machine speed and minimize waste through efficient operation and quick changeovers
- Record production data accurately for each job
- Follow all plant safety rules and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and warehouse team
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience operating Flexo Folder Gluer equipment in a corrugated manufacturing facility (Preferred)
- Bilingual-English & Spanish (Preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills (Preferred)
- Ability to read job orders, drawings and utilize company job order tracking software
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
