Juventus Academy New Jersey
Locations: Waldwick, Northvale, Mountain Lakes
Juventus Academy New Jersey is expanding and opening a new location in September 2026. We are looking for passionate, experienced Youth Soccer Coaches to join our coaching staff and work primarily with children ages 3–8.
This is an excellent opportunity for a coach who understands that working with young children requires much more than simply knowing how to play or coach soccer. We are looking for individuals who have proven experience developing very young players and who know how to create engaging, age-appropriate training environments.
About the Role
Our coaches work with young players during some of the most important years of their athletic development. Coaches will be responsible for creating and delivering training sessions that are:
- Age-appropriate
- Fun and engaging
- Technically focused
- Developmentally progressive
- Energetic and interactive
- Designed to build confidence and a love for soccer
Coaches will work with players approximately 3–8 years old, introducing and developing fundamental soccer and movement skills including dribbling, ball control, passing, shooting, coordination, balance, agility and basic decision-making.
What We Are Looking For
We are specifically looking for coaches who have already worked successfully with young children.
The ideal candidate can demonstrate previous experience working with players ages 3–8 and understands how to adapt coaching methods to the attention span, physical development and learning abilities of young children.
You should be able to:
- Design creative and age-appropriate soccer exercises
- Keep young children engaged and active throughout a session
- Teach technical fundamentals in a simple and enjoyable way
- Adapt activities for different ability levels
- Develop coordination and basic athletic movement
- Create a positive and encouraging environment
- Build confidence and enthusiasm for the game
- Communicate effectively with children and parents
- Manage groups of young players professionally and safely
- Recognize the developmental differences between a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old
Proven Experience Is Important
This position is not intended for someone whose only qualification is playing experience.
We want coaches who have demonstrated that they can successfully work with and develop young players.
Candidates should be prepared to provide information about their previous coaching experience, including:
- Clubs, academies, schools or programs where you have coached
- Age groups you have worked with
- Length of coaching experience
- Examples of training sessions or programs you have developed
- References or other evidence of successful coaching experience
- Coaching licenses or certifications
Experience specifically with ages 3–5 and ages 6–8 is highly valued.
Juventus Methodology
Coaches at Juventus Academy New Jersey will have access to our Juventus Methodology, training curriculum and player-development resources.
You will receive the structure and tools necessary to deliver a consistent Juventus Academy experience. However, we expect our coaches to bring their own experience, creativity, personality, and ability to connect with young players.
We are looking for coaches who can take a methodology and deliver it effectively on the field—not simply follow a list of exercises.
